Customization at a Glance:

List:

• Preferred file format CSV or Excel.

Photos:

• Preferred file formats: JPEG, TIF, PSD or PDF
• Dimensions: 1.5" wide x 2" vertical, or larger
• Resolution: 300 dots per inch or greater at the dimensions stated above.
  No enlarging or stretching the image to force it to match these dimensions or resolution (we run the risk of a jagged- or blurry-looking image).
• Color Mode: Either CMYK or RGB color mode is acceptable, although they will be converted to CMYK for printing process.

Signatures for Custom Letters:

• Preferred file formats: JPEG, TIF, PSD, PDF, AI or EPS (Either raster or vector file formats are OK)
• Dimensions: Should fit within a 2.5" wide x 0.75" vertical area. But since the shapes of most signatures are kind of irregular, there is some flexibility on this dimension.
• Resolution: If files are submitted in a raster format (such as JPEG, TIF, PSD or pixel-based EPS or PDF), resolution of 1200 dpi is requested.
• Color Mode: Grayscale, CMYK or RGB color mode is OK, although it will be converted to grayscale/black for printing.

Logos:

• Preferred file formats: .ai or .eps (vector files from programs such as Adobe Illustrator). Logos may also be submitted in JPEG, TIF, PSD or PDF formats.
• Dimensions: 2.375" wide x 1.25" vertical
• Resolution: If the logo incorporates any halftone or scanned images, the resolution of each image needs to be at least 300 dots per inch or greater for any halftone images, and 1200 dots per inch or greater for any scanned line art. To avoid a blurry or jagged appearance, these images should be used in the logo at the same size, or smaller, than the size at which they were created or scanned. (No enlarging or stretching images to achieve the resolution or dimensions)
• Color Mode: Please indicate all colors using CMYK percentages.

Ads:

• Preferred file format is PDF. PDF's need to have all fonts and graphics embedded when they are saving the PDF.
  Use High Resolution PDF settings when saving PDF files.
  Ads may also be submitted in JPEG, TIF, PSD, or Adobe InDesign CS4/version 5 formats. If sending InDesign files, all fonts and images used need to be included as.
• Dimensions for inside back cover: 6.875" wide x 9" vertical
  Word count for inside back cover: maximum 800 words (using same font, size and spacing as for the stories in the generic body of the issue). If using large headline text, or images, in this space, it's best to keep the word count under 800.

  Outside back cover ad dimensions 7.25" wide x 7" vertical.

• Resolution: If the ad incorporates any halftone or scanned images, the resolution of each image needs to be at least 300 dots per inch or greater for any halftone images, and 1200 dots per inch or greater for any scanned line art.
• Color Mode: Please indicate all colors using CMYK percentages.
