
The “4-Week Avg. U.S. Net Imports of Crude Oil” graph shows the U.S. has recently become a net exporter of petroleum products. Such has generated a lot of publicity and surprise of late, but one must keep in mind that this is NOT crude oil.

As the “4-Week Avg. U.S. Net Imports of Petroleum Products” graph shows, the U.S. remains a massive net importer of crude, the raw material used to create petroleum products such as gasoline.
